Guidelines for Selecting Portfolio Pieces The portfolio you create this quarter will allow you and your parents to view some of the work you have done. It will also show how you have learned important concepts or skills.
To help you select work for your portfolio, please follow these guidelines:
Core Course Writing Sample: Select one of your favorite writing assignments or projects from your core classes (humanities, language arts, social studies, math or science).
EAL Writing Assignment: Select a writing assignment that you completed for EAL class.
EAL In-class Writing Sample: This is a writing sample that was completed in class at the end of the quarter.
Student Choice Writing Sample: Select a writing assignment that shows your skills as a writer.
